What is the difference between nicotine salts and freebase nicotine?

Freebase nicotine is the standard form used in most e-liquids — it has a harsher throat hit at higher strengths and is typically used at 3mg–6mg in sub-ohm devices. Nicotine salts use benzoic acid to create a smoother hit at higher concentrations (10mg–20mg), making them ideal for pod kits and smokers switching to vaping.

What is a shortfill e-liquid?

A shortfill is a larger bottle (typically 50ml or 100ml) filled with 0mg nicotine e-liquid, leaving space at the top for a nicotine shot. Adding one 18mg/10ml nic shot to a 50ml shortfill gives you 60ml at approximately 3mg — a common sub-ohm strength.

What VG/PG ratio should I use?

For pod kits and MTL tanks, 50/50 VG/PG is ideal — it wicks well in tight coils and produces moderate vapour. For sub-ohm and DTL setups, 70/30 VG/PG or higher produces more vapour and a smoother throat hit but requires high-wattage, low-resistance coils.

How long does a 10ml bottle of e-liquid last?

A 10ml bottle typically lasts a moderate vaper 1–3 days in a pod kit. Heavy vapers may go through one per day; light vapers may get 3–5 days. Sub-ohm devices use e-liquid much faster than MTL pod kits.
